Depression Counseling in Longwood, FL

The world feels kind of grey – you’ve lost interest in the things you once loved, you don’t feel like being around people, and even routine tasks feel exhausting. Depression can feel like being stuck in “power saving mode.” Getting out of bed, showering, or answering texts may suddenly feel overwhelming. You may even wonder if things will ever get better.

Depression can be caused by many things – stress, burnout, grief, life changes, and trauma are just several possible considerations. If you think you might be depressed, I can help. There are a couple of areas I like to explore with clients when working on depression:

  • What does your daily routine look like?
  • What is the quality of your personal relationships?

I look at these areas specifically to address where you are spending time and with whom. Are you doing things that you enjoy and fulfill you? Do you have supportive people in your life that you can depend on? From here, we can look at improving the relationships that you have already and building in more time for meaningful hobbies and self-care. As the work progresses, we will begin to notice patterns in your interactions and routines that may be preventing you from living life on your terms. Together, we will develop strategies to create healthier patterns.
